Goal success mindset

A key component to success is to be FULLY committed to achieving your goal and what this means to you.

Sometime the idea of what we are about to take on can feel quite a leap or we are not sure that we can achieve it.

Affirmations.

A great way to reframe this is to create affirmations that help you believe that you have actually already achieved your goal. That you are that person already. At the same time it can work against any negative self-belief – powerful stuff!

Let’s say that you want to write a book and have it published and you are worried about all the things you need to do to get there. We need to rewire how you think about that and set you up for success.

Here’s a few examples:

I completely believe that I can write my book

I have all the resources to make this a success

I will be a published author with a best selling book 

I deserve the success being a published author brings

Once written, commit to saying these at least a few times a week repeatedly. You can do these while walking or cooking so easy to slot in! Or for bigger impact saying them out loud in front of a mirror.

Your subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between something real or imagined, so this is a powerful tool.

Visualisation.

Visualisation is also another great tool to help you achieve your goals. Athletes as an example often do this to get themselves in the zone, sometimes visualising the whole race from start to finish.

Take a moment to find a quite space and close your eyes.

What would you be doing when you have achieved your goal? What can you, hear, see, what do you feel? 

Now hold that thought. 

Then choosing a statement that anchors that state within you, for example it could be ‘I am a published author’. Then after a moment open your eyes.

Again, repeating this every few days can hugely help push you forwards and keep that all important momentum with what you need to do.

This is super powerful stuff when combined and will help lay solid foundations for the mindset needed to achievement.
